Buttons and Scissors is a game that will make you squint, stare and scratch your head until you figure a way out of cutting through the maze of buttons. It is a puzzle game with nearly 800 levels, which means that the fun won’t end very soon!
It is the kind of game that you don’t want anyone else to play on your phone because you will probably not get it back till they get tired of it. And that won’t happen anytime soon. Heed this warning!
Gameplay and Challenges:
Different coloured buttons are stitched onto a square or rectangular board and you have to cut them all out. With a swipe of your finger you can connect the buttons you wish to cut out. But, only two or more buttons of the same colour can be connected provided there is no other coloured button in between. Also, the scissor can only cut in one direction at a time (combo moves like left+up will not work).
Like some of the best puzzle games ever, it sounds deceptively simple, but is delightfully complex. The challenge in this game is to figure out the best way to remove all the buttons without having a deadlock situation or a single button of a particular colour being left out. This challenge becomes increasingly difficult as different sets of coloured buttons are added to the board and the size of the board becomes larger (There are in total 7 different sets of buttons and 4 different board sizes).
Is it for you?
Do you like puzzles which jolt your brain cells, require strategic planning and are frustrating as well as pleasurable? Then, Buttons and Scissors is the game for you. The best part is, each level can be completed pretty fast (unless you are stuck), but 800 levels makes the game feel like a never-ending fiesta!
