This is a tasty and easy dish for days when you feel like having some fried and cheesy munchies but don’t want to spend much time in the kitchen. The sweet and creamy taste of sweet potato is well known. Once you have the dish you will know how amazing the flavor of cinnamon, garlic and cheese when mixed with sweet potato is. By spending 10 minutes in preparation, this will be one of the best pleasure-treats you can give to your taste buds!
This is level 1 as a little understanding of par-boiling and quick cooking is required.
The Magic Ingredients:
✓ 4 small sweet potatoes
✓ 2 tsp melted butter
✓ White oil
✓ 1 tsp minced garlic
✓ 1 inch cinnamon stick, smashed in pieces (do not make powder)
✓ 2 tsp lemon juice
✓ 1 tsp salt
✓ 1 tsp pepper
✓ 2-3 tsp grated parmesan or fontina cheese
✓ Par-boil (semi boil) the sweet potatoes for 3-4 minutes by adding salt in water. Strain the water, peel and cut the potatoes. You can keep the potato skin.
✓ You can skip par-boiling the potatoes and directly fry it. But par-boiling the potatoes before frying helps in evenly frying the potatoes, soaking the flavor and it takes less time to fry.
✓ Heat regular butter available at home to make melted butter.
✓ Take a small bowl and mix melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, smashed cinnamon and lemon juice.
✓ Put the potatoes in the mix and coat well.
✓ Heat oil in a pan and place the coated potatoes. Fry the potatoes for 5-6 minutes on medium heat. Turn the potatoes occasionally so that all sides are fried properly.
✓ Take the potatoes out and place on kitchen tissue paper which will soak the extra oil.
✓ Put the fries on a serving plate, sprinkle grated cheese and a little pepper powder. You need to sprinkle the cheese quickly so that it melts on the hot fries.
✓ Cheesy cinnamon sweet potato fries are ready to eat. Serve them hot!
10 mins. Of course the time will increase a little bit if you make it in larger quantities.
