Summer isn’t getting any easier for us. So, let’s put on the battle gear and combat the sun with some yum. Bad rhyme, but the drink is delicious. Try out the Iced Green Tea with Ginger & Mint. It is cool, healthy and refreshing!
It’s a level 2. Involves a little bit of peeling, cutting, boiling and straining. Nothing too tough.
The Magic Ingredients:
✓ 20-30 Mint leaves (You can opt for more)
✓ 2 tablespoon Ginger (peeled and sliced)
✓ 1 & 1/2 tablespoon Honey
✓ 1 Green Tea Bag
✓ 1/4 Lemon
✓ Pour one cup of water in a saucepan over high heat and add the sliced ginger. Bring the water to boil.
✓ Once the water starts boiling, take it off the stove and add the mint leaves to it. Cover it and let it steep.
✓ Put a 5 minute timer on your phone and forget about it.
✓ Once your phone rings, go back and add the tea bad. Cover and let steep.
✓ Put another 5 minute timer and forget about it. (If you like strong tea, then increase the time-frame)
✓ Once your alarm goes off again, strain the liquid and add the honey and lemon juice to it. Give it a couple of stirs.
✓ Leave the drink out till it cools down and reaches room temperature. Then put it in the refrigerator and let it chill.
✓ Once chilled, pour it out in a glass. Add ice and mint leaves to it and if you want a little more tang and glam, cut a few wedges out of the leftover lemon and add it to the drink. Then, chill with this glass of cold, fresh and nutritious summer drink!
20 minutes to prepare the drink and some extra time to get it chilled.
