2015 is a year of insane amounts of entertainment for all movie buffs. Long awaited novel adaptations, eagerly expected installments in beloved movie franchises, big-budget films, blockbusters, Oscar darlings – this year is full of them all! I don’t know what it is about this year, but, I have a feeling my eyes are going to be pampered into a state of euphoria.
And may Zeus strike me down with his lightning – and may it be displayed to the world via the stunning visual effects that I am witnessing in the films this year – if I do not share it with you all. As I don’t want to burden you with the excitement of the entire year (and also because I believe in a little bit of mystery), there will be monthly or half monthly updates of the amazing films you are to expect in the days to come.
You will find the May edition <here>
This is the June Edition. *drumrolls*
Chris Pratt + Dinosaurs + Extra-Scary-Dino + cool CG effects = Nail-biting FUN!
Another installment in the franchise of the remarkable combination of imagination and technology, Jurassic Park, is coming out! But, Jurassic World isn’t exactly along the same lines as the previous films.
Set in the present time, 22 years post the events of the first Jurassic Park, it starts in a fully operational dinosaur-themed park. Then everything descends into chaos thanks to a dinosaur named Indominus Rex, which has been genetically modified to be scarier than the ones we have seen so far. It can run faster, it is highly intelligent and its roar can make you lose bladder control *shivers*.
And, obviously, there is Chris Pratt of the Guardians of the Galaxy fame, who is now guarding the dinos.

ME AND EARL AND THE DYING GIRL
It looks like a cross between The Fault in our Stars and a Wes Anderson film.
This film was loved by all at the Sundance Film Festival where it bagged the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award, exactly like Whiplash did last year. And because Whiplash was awesome, I have high hopes for this one.
The movie is about a high-school senior, Greg, his co-worker Earl, with whom he makes classic movie parodies, and Rachel, a girl with leukaemia. Greg and Earl decide to make a movie for Rachel and have no idea how to proceed. The trailer gives you a sneak peek into this funny, beautiful and curious film which, I hope, will be one of the most singular tales that you will come across this year.

Ever wondered what goes on inside the mind of a person? Pixar brings you a close and animated view.
The emotions of an 11 year-old girl who has moved with her family from Minnesota to San Francisco have been personified. The film is mostly staged inside the mind of Riley, where we have Joy, Anger, Fear, Disgust and Sadness. Joy and Sadness are somehow removed from the headquarters and while they try to find their way back, Anger, Fear and Disgust must try to make the best of the situation.
The movie is a portrayal of the many emotional issues that come hand-in-hand with adolescence and the added stress of a big change. It is colourful, witty, funny, emotional and conceptual.

A comedy about a talking teddy bear who is married and wants a baby. But, there are a few complications.
For all those who loved Ted, we now have the sequel. This time, Ted has sobered up, somewhat. He is married and about to have a child. But, first, he must prove that he is human. That too in a court of law. This film is just as weird as the first one, but, if you are a fan of this hilarious talking teddy bear, you won’t want to miss out on this one.
