It’s been quite a while since Bollywood learned to incorporate cutting-edge Visual FX into film making. So far, from Robot to Krrish to R.A.One; production houses paid Hollywood VFX artists handsomely to recreate what they have done multiple times in Hollywood movies and by changing colour-coordination or shapes, they tried to create distinctive cinematic experiences.
Anyone who is well acquainted with Hollywood knows that Bollywood has never walked out of the shadow of Hollywood’s VFX wonders before FAN. No, we are not saying that no actors in Hollywood were ever made to look younger with the help of make-up and Visual FX. It has been done multiple times in movies like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Terminator Salvation, Grudge Match, Torn Legacy, X-Men: The Last Stand etc.
If that was done before, then how does FAN stand out? If you have watched the movie, you already know the answer. If you haven’t, here is a small video for you to watch. Enjoy!
You should know that Greg Cannom, the man behind Gaurav’s look in FAN was also the lead make-up artist of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button where you can see Brad Pitt portraying Benjamin Button in various ages of his life as he grows backward from an aged old man to a toddler. Another must watch movie if you ask us!
